Step into the meditative world of relief printmaking with Mad Hare Press. In this hands-on introduction to linoleum block printing, participants will learn how to plan and transfer a design, safely carve a soft linoleum block, prepare and apply ink, and create original hand-pulled prints. Through demonstrations and guided instruction, participants will explore the fundamentals of tool control, positive and negative space, ink application, and hand-printing techniques. Each participant will leave with their carved block and a small edition of original prints, along with the foundational skills to continue exploring relief printmaking independently.

No previous printmaking or carving experience is required. Participants are encouraged to bring sketches, photographs, or other simple visual references for inspiration. Designs with bold shapes and clear lines generally translate best for an introductory relief print. All necessary printmaking tools and materials will be provided.
