Offered during teacher workdays and summer, Gardens Camps bring the season to life with garden-inspired games, exploration, art, music, or cooking. Activities vary by session. Unless noted otherwise, camps are designed for children who have completed kindergarten through fourth grade.

What to know about camps:

  • Camps are held primarily outdoors, weather permitting
  • Registration is required
  • Scholarships are available
  • Members receive a 10% discount 
  • Meals are not provided

School's Out! Day Camps

School's Out! Day Camps occur on days when school is not in session for the Poudre School District.  Activities are geared toward children ages five to ten who are currently enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade. Scholarships are available, and pre-registration is required.

 9 a.m.– 3:30 p.m.  |  $70 for one-day camps | $140 for two-day camps

Plant Friends 
Jan. 5 | $70 | Current K – 5th Graders

Scientists have been studying plants for hundreds of years and they have found that plants make us happier, healthier, and even heal faster. That sounds like a pretty good friend! Come hang out with us as we make new friends with both plants and humans!  

Winter In The Gardens
Jan. 19 | $70 | Current K – 5th Graders

What do our plants and animals do when our days become cold, snowy, and dark? Join us as we explore the beauty of winter in the gardens while also learning about the mysterious lives of animals during the cold months. 

Random Acts of Kindness
Feb. 16 | $70 | Current K – 5th Graders

It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week, and what better way to celebrate then by doing random acts of kindness throughout the day at The Gardens! We will encounter different animals, plants, and people who visit, live, or work at The Gardens on Spring Creek to brighten their day and celebrate kindness.  

Arbor Day
April 23 & 24 | $140 | Current K – 5th Graders

Can you be-leaf it is Arbor Day!? Fort Collins has been an annual Tree City USA award recipient for over 45 years. At The Gardens, we love to celebrate the many different trees that contribute to this award. Join us as we root for our trees and go out on a limb to help them!  

 

 

 


Summer Camps

Camp registration will open Thursday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m.

Our summer camps are full of garden–centric activities, gardening, art, science, animals and stewardship! Pre-registration is required.  Our Garden STEAM camp and Garden Ecosystem camp are planned and geared for children in first through fifth grade. Junior Hort is for rising sixth through eighth graders.

Cost varies per camp for the week; scholarships are availableA 10% discount is offered with a membership to The Gardens.

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math...the garden can be your own laboratory! Gardens are teaming with secrets to be discovered and puzzles to solve. Come learn to ask deep questions and design solutions to real world problems. Each day we will be harnessing our STEAM skills to tackle new and exciting challenges like designing garden inspired inventions, exploring tiny things through microscopes and learn to harness the power of the sun! 

Please note: Programming for this camp will be identical each week. Due to reduced enrollment, we will only accept campers into one of these weeks of camp. 

 

Junior Hort—Middle School Half-Day Camp

Junior Hort | $150

Dates: July 6–10 | 9 a.m.–noon each day

Do you want to make the world a better place? Come learn how to be a steward of the environment! During this week, we will learn all about how horticulture can help save the world through planting, harvesting, and caring for plants, the foundation of life on earth. This middle school-focused half-day camp will also explore what stewardship can look like in your community and prepare participants for volunteer opportunities throughout the City of Fort Collins. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn from our teen Project Hort participants about their volunteer experience at The Gardens.

 

Garden Ecosystem Camp

A hands-on summer camp where kids can explore the magic of The Gardens! Through planting, observations, and fun outdoor activities,we will discover how gardens are a home for unique plants, animals, and insects. Our camp nurtures curiosity, teamwork, and a love for nature, helping young gardeners grow confidence while caring for the environment.
